Tommy Tutone is an American rock band formed in Northern California in 1978 by singer-guitarist Tommy Heath and guitarist Jim Keller. The band plays power pop and new wave-influenced rock, and is best known for “867-5309/Jenny,” released on the album Tommy Tutone 2, and the earlier single “Angel Say No.” Tommy Tutone toured as an opening act for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers during its early recording career, bringing its guitar-led songs to rock venues across the United States. In later years, Tommy Heath performed the catalog in clubs and at multi-artist nostalgia concerts, including Lost 80’s Live.
