Torfrock in Worpswede

Torfrock is a German rock band founded in 1976 by Klaus Büchner and Raymond Voss. Its hard-driving, comic songs draw on northern German dialect and characters, including “Presslufthammer B-B-Bernhard” and “Rollo der Wikinger.” The band also recorded “Beinhart,” the title song for the film Werner – Beinhart! In 1991, Torfrock established the annual Bagaluten-Wiehnacht, a Christmas-season concert tradition built around the band’s rock catalogue and humorous storytelling. These shows have taken the group through northern German halls and repeatedly to Große Freiheit 36 in Hamburg.
