About Toubab Krewe

Toubab Krewe is an American instrumental band formed in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2005. They play rock rooted in the music of Mali, using electric guitar, bass and drums alongside instruments including the kora and kamelengoni. The group is known for the albums Toubab Krewe, TK2 and Stylo.

The concert album Live at the Orange Peel documents one of the band’s hometown performances in Asheville. Across years of club and theatre touring in the United States, Toubab Krewe also performed at Bonnaroo and High Sierra Music Festival.
