About Transglobal Underground
Transglobal Underground are a British music collective formed in London in the early 1990s. They play electronic dance music rooted in dub, club rhythms and musical traditions from across Africa, Asia and the Middle East. The single “Temple Head” and the album Dream of 100 Nations established their sound, while vocalist Natacha Atlas became a key early member of the group.
During the 1990s, the collective brought its live ensemble to WOMAD and Glastonbury Festival. A 2007 concert at the Royal Festival Hall reunited Transglobal Underground with Natacha Atlas for their first full performance together in several years.
