Trettmann is a German singer and rapper from Chemnitz whose music draws on hip-hop, dancehall and dub. After performing for years as Ronny Trettmann, he began working under his current name and developed a close creative partnership with the production collective KitschKrieg. The album #DIY and tracks including “Grauer Beton” and “Knöcheltief” established the sound he carried into the later albums Trettmann and Insomnia. The #DIY Tour took him through German-speaking clubs in 2017. He returned to the road for the Insomnia Tour in 2023, followed by festival appearances at Rock am Ring and Rock im Park in 2024.
