Tribal Seeds is an American roots-reggae band formed in San Diego in 2005 by brothers Steven Rene Jacobo and Tony-Ray Jacobo. Its music also draws on dub and reggae rock; albums including The Harvest and Representing feature songs such as “Vampire” and “Moonlight.” Tribal Seeds has made repeat appearances at California Roots Music and Arts Festival. The band has also performed at Reggae Rise Up and One Love Cali Reggae Fest, playing full-band sets led by vocalist Steven Rene Jacobo.
Fortunate Youth is an American reggae band formed in Hermosa Beach, California, in 2009. The group plays roots reggae, dub and reggae rock, and is known for albums including Irie State of Mind, It’s All a Jam and Don’t Think Twice, as well as songs such as “Sweet Love,” “Burn One” and “Trippin.” Fortunate Youth have performed at California Roots Music and Arts Festival in Monterey and One Love Cali Reggae Fest in Long Beach. Their festival history also includes Reggae Rise Up Florida in St. Petersburg.
