About Trigger Hippy
Trigger Hippy is an American roots-rock band formed in Nashville by drummer Steve Gorman and bassist Nick Govrik. Its music draws on blues, soul and Southern rock, and its releases include the albums Trigger Hippy and Full Circle and Then Some, as well as the songs “Rise Up Singing” and “Don’t Wanna Bring You Down.”
The group made its concert debut in 2009 at the Cox Capitol Theatre in Macon, Georgia. After Jackie Greene and Joan Osborne joined the lineup, the band toured behind its self-titled album in 2014. A revised lineup returned to live performance in 2019, built around Gorman and Govrik alongside singers and multi-instrumentalists Ed Jurdi and Amber Woodhouse.
