Trio da Paz is a Brazilian jazz trio formed in New York in 1986 by guitarist Romero Lubambo, bassist Nilson Matta and drummer Duduka da Fonseca. The group plays instrumental samba, bossa nova and jazz, and is known for albums including Partido Out, Café and 30. Live at Jazz Standard documents the trio’s club performance and its improvisational guitar, acoustic bass and drums format. They have also performed in the intimate setting of Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola at Jazz at Lincoln Center.
