Trippie Redd is an American rapper and singer from Canton, Ohio, born Michael Lamar White IV in 1999. His melodic rap often draws on emo, trap and rock, and he is known for the mixtape series A Love Letter to You, the album Life’s a Trip and songs including “Love Scars,” “Dark Knight Dummo” and “Taking a Walk.” In 2018, Trippie Redd mounted the Life’s a Trip Tour and joined Travis Scott’s Astroworld: Wish You Were Here Tour for its opening dates. In 2021, he toured North America on the Tripp at Knight Tour, supported by iann dior and SoFaygo. Outside Ohio, he has performed at Wireless Festival in London and Rolling Loud Miami.
