Twista is an American rapper from Chicago, born Carl Terrell Mitchell in 1973 and known for his exceptionally rapid delivery. After debuting as Tung Twista, he established his catalog with Adrenaline Rush and reached a broader audience through Kamikaze, which includes “Overnight Celebrity” and “Slow Jamz,” his collaboration with Kanye West and Jamie Foxx. In 2017, Twista marked the 20th anniversary of Adrenaline Rush with performances built around the album. The anniversary dates were followed by appearances in the multi-artist Legends of Hip Hop concert series.
