Tyla in London

Tyla is a South African singer and songwriter, born in Johannesburg in 2002, whose music draws on amapiano, pop and R&B. She became widely known through “Water,” which won the first Grammy Award for Best African Music Performance, and followed it with the self-titled album “Tyla,” featuring songs including “Truth or Dare” and “Jump.” In 2023, Tyla opened for Chris Brown on the European leg of the Under the Influence Tour. An injury forced her to cancel her planned first headlining tour in 2024, but later that year she played arena concerts at GrandWest in Cape Town and SunBet Arena in Pretoria. She performed at Coachella in 2025.
