Tyler Childers in Durham

Tyler Childers is an American singer-songwriter from Lawrence County, Kentucky, who plays country, bluegrass and Appalachian folk. He is known for the 2017 album Purgatory and songs including “Feathered Indians,” “Whitehouse Road,” “All Your’n” and “In Your Love.” His later records include Country Squire, Long Violent History and Rustin’ in the Rain. The 2023 Send in the Hounds Tour included concerts at Radio City Music Hall and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The Mule Pull ’24 Tour followed with arena dates, including a 2024 performance at Madison Square Garden.

aja monet is an American poet, writer, lyricist and performer, born in New York City and raised in East New York, Brooklyn. She began writing poetry at eight and became the youngest Nuyorican Poets Café Grand Slam Champion in 2007; her books include The Black Unicorn Sings and My Mother Was a Freedom Fighter. Her 2023 debut album, When the Poems Do What They Do, places spoken poetry over jazz instrumentation by musicians including Chief Xian aTunde Adjuah and Marcus Gilmore, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Spoken Word Poetry Album. She followed it in 2026 with The Color of Rain, co-produced with Meshell Ndegeocello and Justin Brown.
