Týr & Twilight Force in Obertraubling

Týr are a Faroese metal band formed in 1998, known for progressive folk metal rooted in traditional Faroese melodies, Norse history and mythology. Albums including Eric the Red, Ragnarok and By the Light of the Northern Star established their sound, while “Hold the Heathen Hammer High” and “Blood of Heroes” became signature songs. In 2008, Týr toured Europe on Paganfest alongside Ensiferum, Korpiklaani, Moonsorrow and Eluveitie. They later toured North America in 2014 on a package headed by Children of Bodom, alongside Death Angel. A decade later, they led the Battle Ballads tour through North America, supported by Trollfest, Æther Realm and The Dread Crew of Oddwood.

Twilight Force are a Swedish symphonic power-metal band formed in Falun in 2011. Their orchestral arrangements, rapid guitar work and high-fantasy storytelling took shape on the debut album Tales of Ancient Prophecies and continued through Heroes of Mighty Magic, Dawn of the Dragonstar and At the Heart of Wintervale. “Flight of the Sapphire Dragon” and “Battle of Arcane Might” are among their signature songs. In 2017, they opened European arena dates on Sabaton’s The Last Tour, where Accept also performed. Six years later, Twilight Force mounted their first European headline run, the Magical Mystical Tour, supported by Seven Spires.
