U2 in Amsterdam

U2 is an Irish rock band formed in Dublin in 1976. Bono, The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Jr. established the group’s long-running lineup. Albums including The Joshua Tree and Achtung Baby, and songs such as “Sunday Bloody Sunday,” “With or Without You” and “One,” brought their atmospheric rock to a broad audience. The Zoo TV Tour of 1992 and 1993 used banks of video screens, satellite links and Bono’s onstage characters as part of its arena and stadium shows. The PopMart Tour followed in 1997, while the 360° Tour placed the stage in the round for another stadium run beginning in 2009. In 2023, U2 opened Sphere in Las Vegas with U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at Sphere, a concert residency built around Achtung Baby. Far beyond their home city, U2 filmed Vertigo Tour concerts in Mexico City and Buenos Aires for the concert film U2 3D.

Wolf Alice are a British alternative-rock band formed in London in 2010 and fronted by singer and guitarist Ellie Rowsell. Their records include My Love Is Cool, Visions of a Life and Blue Weekend, while “Bros,” “Moaning Lisa Smile” and “Don’t Delete the Kisses” are among their best-known songs. Visions of a Life won the Mercury Prize in 2018. Wolf Alice toured clubs and festivals after their debut album, including a 2016 performance on Glastonbury’s Pyramid Stage. A 2017 headline show at Alexandra Palace followed, and the band later played a run at the Eventim Apollo in 2022 during the Blue Weekend tour. They have also toured the United States, where their festival appearances have included Coachella in California and Lollapalooza in Chicago.
