Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats are an English rock band formed in Cambridge in 2009 by singer and guitarist Kevin Starrs. Their heavy psychedelic sound draws on doom metal, acid rock and early hard rock; key releases include Blood Lust, Mind Control and The Night Creeper, while “I’ll Cut You Down” and “Death’s Door” are among their best-known songs. The band played its first concert at Roadburn Festival in Tilburg in 2012. The following year, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats reached arena audiences as the support act on Black Sabbath’s European reunion tour. They have also performed at Desertfest London and Hellfest in Clisson.
Messa are an Italian doom metal band formed in 2014. Their music draws on traditional doom, psychedelic rock, dark ambient and jazz, and they are known for the albums Belfry, Feast for Water, Close and The Spin. In 2022, Messa performed at Roadburn in Tilburg and Hellfest in Clisson during the touring cycle for Close. They followed those festival appearances with club dates in Europe and a North American tour, then played ArcTanGent near Bristol in 2023.
