Artist
Dimmu Borgir are a Norwegian band formed in Oslo in 1993. They play symphonic black metal, combining distorted guitars and harsh vocals with prominent keyboard and orchestral arrangements. Albums including Enthrone Darkness Triumphant, Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon established songs such as “Mourning Palace” and “Progenies of the Great Apocalypse” in their repertoire. Dimmu Borgir joined Ozzfest in 2004 and later mounted The Invaluable Darkness Tour after the release of In Sorte Diaboli. At Oslo Spektrum in 2011, they performed with the Norwegian Radio Orchestra and the Schola Cantorum choir.
