Vader is a Polish death-metal band formed in Olsztyn in 1983 by guitarist and vocalist Piotr Wiwczarek. Its fast, thrash-edged attack is documented on albums including De Profundis, Litany and Welcome to the Morbid Reich, while “Sothis” and “Wings” are among its established songs. In 1993, Vader toured Europe with Bolt Thrower and Grave, an important early run outside Poland. The band subsequently built a long international concert history through club tours and metal festivals, including performances at Wacken Open Air in Germany and Brutal Assault in the Czech Republic.
