Vanessa Collier in Old Saybrook

Vanessa Collier is an American singer, songwriter and saxophonist whose music draws on blues, soul, funk and rock. She is known for albums including Honey Up, Heart on the Line and Do It My Own Way, and has received Blues Music Awards including Horn Player of the Year. Vanessa Collier toured internationally as a saxophonist and vocalist in Joe Louis Walker’s band early in her career. She later led her own band through blues clubs, theatres and festivals, including the Briggs Farm Blues Festival and the Big Blues Bender; her appearances have also included the Legendary Rhythm & Blues Cruise.
