Vanessa Da Mata in Aracaju

Vanessa da Mata is a Brazilian singer-songwriter, born in 1976 in Alto Garças, Mato Grosso, who performs MPB and pop rooted in samba and bossa nova. Her self-titled debut appeared in 2002, while her best-known recordings include “Não Me Deixe Só,” “Ai, Ai, Ai...,” “Amado” and “Boa Sorte/Good Luck,” a duet with Ben Harper from the album Sim. The 2013 Vanessa da Mata canta Tom Jobim tour placed Antônio Carlos Jobim’s repertoire at the centre of her concerts and produced a live album. In 2016, she recorded another stage project at Teatro Pedra do Reino in João Pessoa; the performance was released as the live album and DVD Caixinha de Música.
