Vega is the stage name of Andre Witter, a German rapper born in Langen in 1985 and associated with Frankfurt am Main. He initially released music online as VRS, including the EP Erst der Anfang and the Unzerfikkbar Mixtape, before issuing his first solo album, Lieber Bleib Ich Broke, in 2009. He followed it with Vincent and Nero, which reached numbers five and two on the German chart, and founded the label Freunde von Niemand.
