Video Games Live in Salt Lake City

Video Games Live is an American touring concert production created by video-game composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. It presents orchestral and choral arrangements of music from series including The Legend of Zelda, Super Mario, Halo, Final Fantasy and Warcraft, synchronized with game footage and other visual elements. The production premiered at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles in 2005, performed by the Los Angeles Philharmonic. It subsequently developed into an international touring show that engages orchestras and choirs in its host cities; later appearances included the Royal Albert Hall in London. The standard concert format combines a symphony orchestra, choir, synchronized visuals and interactive segments in which audience members play games while the musicians perform the score. Tommy Tallarico has served as the production’s host and electric guitarist.
