About Vienna Boys' Choir
Vienna Boys' Choir is an Austrian boys' choir whose origins in the Habsburg court chapel date to 1498. It is known for treble choral performances of sacred music, works by Mozart and Schubert, Austrian folk songs and Christmas repertoire.
In the 1920s, after its reorganization as a private institution, the choir began touring internationally. Later engagements included Carnegie Hall and the Salzburg Festival, as well as performances in the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Concert. Its home concerts have also taken place at MuTh, the choir’s own concert hall.
