Viera Blech in Leitersdorf im Raabtal

Viera Blech is an Austrian brass ensemble formed in Tyrol in 2004 by drummer and composer Martin Scharnagl. Its repertoire covers polkas, marches and jazz- and pop-oriented concert pieces, and Scharnagl’s composition “Von Freund zu Freund” became closely associated with the group. Viera Blech has performed at Woodstock der Blasmusik in Ort im Innkreis, presenting original pieces and arrangements through a brass-and-drums lineup. The ensemble has brought the same concert format to Brass Wiesn in Eching, another recurring festival devoted to brass music.
