Villagers of Ioannina City in Thessaloniki

Villagers of Ioannina City are a Greek rock band formed in Ioannina in 2007. They play stoner and psychedelic rock shaped by the folk music of Epirus, particularly its clarinet melodies. The albums Riza and Age of Aquarius established the group’s heavy, progressive sound. In 2020, the band performed at Faliro Sports Pavilion in Athens, and the concert was later issued as the live album Through Space and Time (Alive in Athens 2020). The recording documents their full-band format, where heavy guitar arrangements and clarinet carry songs including “Father Sun” and “Zvara.”
