Vinicio Capossela in Naples

Vinicio Capossela is an Italian singer-songwriter, pianist and multi-instrumentalist, born in Hanover in 1965 and raised in Emilia. His theatrical songs draw on folk, jazz, cabaret and rock, and his best-known records include Il ballo di San Vito, Canzoni a manovella, Ovunque proteggi and Marinai, profeti e balene. The 2006 Grand Tour built a stage production around Ovunque proteggi and was documented in the concert film Nel niente sotto il sole. The 2008 Solo Show was later captured on the live album Solo Show Alive, while his songs inspired by folklore, myth and the medieval world shaped the Ballate per uomini e bestie tour in 2019.
