Virus is an Argentine rock band formed in La Plata in 1980. Led during its best-known period by Federico Moura, the group brought new wave, synth-pop and a theatrical sensibility to songs including “Imágenes paganas,” “Pronta entrega” and “Una luna de miel en la mano,” and to albums such as Wadu-Wadu and Locura. Virus performed at the Prima Rock festival in Ezeiza in 1981, an early large-scale appearance remembered for the crowd’s hostile response to the band’s presentation. Five years later, the live album Vivo documented the group’s concerts at Estadio Obras Sanitarias.
