Vltava is a Czech alternative-rock band formed in Prague in 1986 by singer, guitarist and songwriter Robert Nebřenský. Its music is known for playful, surreal Czech lyrics and touches of jazz and big beat; key recordings include the albums Mládí i tak velkou lásku bere s humorem and Marx Engels Beatles, as well as the song “Prasátko.” Vltava ended its first period of activity in 2003, then reunited for concerts in 2010. The group subsequently resumed appearances at Czech clubs and festivals, performing as a full band led by Robert Nebřenský.
