About Voltaj
Voltaj is a Romanian pop-rock band formed in Bucharest in 1982. After early work rooted in hard rock and heavy metal, the group developed a more melodic pop-rock sound under vocalist Călin Goia. It is known internationally for “De la capăt,” a song about children separated from parents working abroad.
At Selecția Națională 2015 in Craiova, Voltaj won the right to represent its country at the Eurovision Song Contest. The band performed the bilingual version, “De la capăt (All Over Again),” and reached the grand final in Vienna.
