W.A.S.P. is an American heavy metal band formed in Los Angeles in 1982 and led by singer and guitarist Blackie Lawless. The band became known through its self-titled debut, The Last Command and songs including I Wanna Be Somebody, Wild Child and Blind in Texas; the concept album The Crimson Idol became another central work in its catalogue. A 1984 concert at the Lyceum Theatre in London was filmed for the Live at the Lyceum release, documenting the band’s early stage show. W.A.S.P. later performed at Monsters of Rock at Donington Park in 1987, and the 2017 Re-Idolized tour featured The Crimson Idol in full alongside its film. In 2022, the band marked four decades of live work with the 40 Years Live World Tour.
KK's Priest is a British heavy metal band formed in 2019 by former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing. Vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens, who previously worked with Downing in Judas Priest, fronts the group. Its albums Sermons of the Sinner and The Sinner Rides Again include the songs “Hellfire Thunderbolt” and “One More Shot at Glory.” KK's Priest played its first concert at KK's Steel Mill in Wolverhampton in July 2023, followed by an appearance at Bloodstock Open Air the next month. A first UK headline tour came that autumn, and the Return of the Sinner USA Tour followed in 2024, supported by L.A. Guns and Burning Witches. The Nottingham date took place at Rock City, a standing concert hall. In London, the band played the larger auditorium at indigo at The O2.
