Warhaus is the Belgian solo project of Maarten Devoldere, also a singer and songwriter in Balthazar. Launched in 2016, it pairs dark indie rock and orchestral pop with Devoldere’s low vocal delivery. The albums We Fucked a Flame into Being, Warhaus and Ha Ha Heartbreak include songs such as “Love’s a Stranger,” “Mad World” and “Open Window.” Warhaus took the debut album into European clubs and onto festival stages, performing at Rock Werchter and Lowlands in 2017. The project later returned to European headline rooms after Ha Ha Heartbreak, presenting the songs with a touring band at venues including Ancienne Belgique in Brussels.
