Warszawska Orkiestra Sentymentalna in Gdansk

Warszawska Orkiestra Sentymentalna is a Polish ensemble formed in Warsaw in 2015 to revive the country’s popular dance music of the 1920s and 1930s. Its repertoire includes tangos, waltzes and foxtrots, while albums such as Umówmy się na dziś, Tańcz mój złoty and Płyń Wisełko combine period songs with traditional material. The ensemble made its public debut in 2015 at Polish Radio’s Nowa Tradycja folk festival and has since taken this repertoire to theatres, cultural centres and festivals around Poland. Concerts feature singers and an acoustic dance-orchestra lineup, presenting songs associated with performers including Mieczysław Fogg and Adam Aston.
