Wednesday is an American indie rock band formed in Asheville, North Carolina, in 2017 by singer, songwriter and guitarist Karly Hartzman. The band plays shoegaze-heavy rock shaped by noise and country music, and is known for the albums Twin Plagues and Rat Saw God, as well as songs including “Bull Believer” and “Chosen to Deserve.” In 2023, Wednesday toured North America and Europe behind Rat Saw God, playing clubs, theatres and festivals. The itinerary included Primavera Sound in Barcelona and later Pitchfork Music Festival in Chicago.
