Wende Snijders in Utrecht

Wende Snijders is a Dutch singer, songwriter and actress, born in Beckenham in 1978. She first became known for performing French chanson on albums including Quand tu dors and La fille noyée, then moved toward self-written Dutch- and English-language pop on records such as No. 9, Last Resistance and MENS. The Last Resistance concerts placed her newer material in a theatrical full-band setting, and she later developed MENS as both an album and a stage production. Her live work has ranged across Dutch theatres and concert halls, including performances at Royal Theater Carré in Amsterdam and festival appearances at Lowlands.
