About White Lion
White Lion is a Danish-American hard rock band formed in New York City in 1983 by singer Mike Tramp and guitarist Vito Bratta. The album Pride established their melodic style through “Wait” and “When the Children Cry,” while Big Game produced “Little Fighter.”
In 1987, White Lion toured as support for Frehley’s Comet before joining the North American leg of AC/DC’s Blow Up Your Video World Tour. A 1988 concert at the Ritz in New York was filmed for MTV, documenting the Pride-era lineup onstage. Tours behind Big Game and Mane Attraction followed, and the original run ended after a 1991 concert at the Channel in Boston.
