Whitney in Ardmore

Whitney is an American indie rock band formed in Chicago in 2015. The group became known through its debut album, Light Upon the Lake, and songs including “No Woman” and “Golden Days,” which pair falsetto vocals with guitar, horns and touches of country soul. Whitney played Pitchfork Music Festival in 2016 while touring behind the debut, then performed at Coachella in 2017. At Whitney concerts, Julien Ehrlich sings lead from the drum kit, backed by a full ensemble whose guitar parts are led by Max Kakacek.
