Wildes Holz in Schwedt

Wildes Holz is a German instrumental trio formed in 1998, built around recorder, acoustic guitar and double bass. The group plays jazz, rock, pop and classical material, and is particularly known for recasting songs such as “Smoke on the Water” and “Highway to Hell” for its unusual lineup. Freiheit für die Blockflöte established the trio’s concert format, placing the recorder at the centre of instrumental arrangements and comic presentation. Wildes Holz later toured the stage programme Grobe Schnitzer through German theatres and cabaret venues. The group marked its 25th anniversary with 25 Jahre auf dem Holzweg.
