Willy Garcia in Lawrenceville

Willy García is a Colombian salsa singer and songwriter from Buenaventura. He became known as a lead vocalist for Grupo Niche, singing songs including “Gotas de lluvia” and “La magia de tus besos,” and later co-founded Son de Cali with Javier Vásquez. His solo repertoire includes “Perdón.” In the 1990s, Willy García performed in Grupo Niche’s concerts before forming Son de Cali in 2002 and taking the new group’s music onstage. His solo concerts feature a salsa orchestra and draw on songs connected to Grupo Niche and Son de Cali.
