Wilson Phillips in Bowling Green

Wilson Phillips is an American pop vocal trio formed in Los Angeles in 1989 by Carnie Wilson, Wendy Wilson and Chynna Phillips. Their self-titled debut album produced the signature songs “Hold On,” “Release Me” and “You’re in Love,” while the follow-up, Shadows and Light, included “You Won’t See Me Cry.” Carnie and Wendy are daughters of the Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson, and Chynna is the daughter of John and Michelle Phillips of the Mamas & the Papas. The trio toured behind Wilson Phillips and Shadows and Light in the early 1990s, then resumed concert work after reuniting for the 2004 album California. Their shows center on three-part vocal harmonies supported by a live band. Wilson Phillips: Live from Infinity Hall documented this later phase at the Norfolk, Connecticut venue, pairing their own hits with songs associated with the Beach Boys and the Mamas & the Papas.
