Wolf Eyes are an American noise group founded by Nate Young in Detroit in 1996. Centered for much of its history on Young and John Olson, the band works with electronics, distorted guitar, reeds and percussion. They are known for records including Burned Mind, Human Animal and No Answer: Lower Floors, while “Stabbed in the Face” is among their best-known tracks. In 2004, Wolf Eyes toured with Sonic Youth. The following year they performed with saxophonist Anthony Braxton at the Festival International de Musique Actuelle de Victoriaville, and the recording was released as Black Vomit. In 2016, the group organized the first Trip Metal Fest at El Club in Detroit.
