Wolf Maahn in Leipzig

Wolf Maahn is a German rock singer, songwriter and guitarist, born in Berlin in 1955. After fronting Food Band, he began a solo career in the early 1980s and became known for German-language songs including “Rosen im Asphalt,” “Fieber” and “Irgendwo in Deutschland,” as well as the albums Deserteure and Irgendwo in Deutschland. In 1985, Wolf Maahn performed with his band at the Grugahalle in Essen for WDR’s Rockpalast. He later placed his concert repertoire in an unplugged setting for Direkt ins Blut and returned to the project with Direkt ins Blut 2. His live work includes full-band and solo-acoustic concerts in German clubs and theatres, based around his adopted home of Cologne.
