Sub Focus & Culture Shock in Denver

Sub Focus is the stage name of English electronic producer and DJ Nick Douwma, who was born in Guildford and built his catalogue around drum and bass. He released his early records through RAM Records, while the albums Sub Focus, Torus and Evolve produced tracks including “Rock It,” “Tidal Wave,” “Endorphins” and “Ready to Fly.” Sub Focus supported Pendulum on the Immersion arena tour in 2010 and subsequently developed headline performances in both DJ and live electronic formats. In 2023, he presented Circular Sound at OVO Arena Wembley, performing at the centre of the London arena beneath the production’s circular overhead rig.

British drum-and-bass producer James Pountney records as Culture Shock. His catalogue on RAM Records includes the tracks “Bunker,” “Troglodyte,” “Renaissance” and “There for You,” pairing melodic passages and vocal hooks with club-focused drum and bass. On the Worship North America Tour, Culture Shock performed with Sub Focus, Dimension and 1991 as the collective Worship. The four later appeared together at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison.
