Yaniss Odua in Strasbourg

Yaniss Odua is a French reggae singer from Martinique, born in 1978 and active as a recording artist since childhood. His music draws on reggae, dancehall and Caribbean rhythms; his best-known songs include “Rouge jaune vert,” “La Caraïbe” and “Chalawa,” while his albums include Moment Idéal, Nouvelle Donne and Stay High. Yaniss Odua has toured with the Artikal Band, presenting his catalog in a full-band reggae format. He has performed at Rototom Sunsplash in Benicàssim and Reggae Sun Ska in France. In Paris, he has played the club setting of Cabaret Sauvage and the theatre stage of the Olympia.
