About Yellow Umbrella

Yellow Umbrella is a German ska and reggae band formed in Dresden in 1994. Its music also draws on rocksteady and dub, and albums including Little Planet and Hooligans of Love established the group’s place in Germany’s offbeat scene.

Yellow Umbrella has toured European clubs and performed at major ska and reggae gatherings, including Summerjam and Rototom Sunsplash. Those appearances brought the Dresden band’s horn-led ensemble format to festival audiences beyond Germany, with Rototom Sunsplash among its best-known international stages.
