Yellowman is a Jamaican dancehall deejay and singer, born Winston Foster in Kingston in 1956. His early-1980s recordings brought his rhythmic toasting and comic, often provocative lyrics to a wider audience; his best-known tracks include “Zungguzungguguzungguzeng,” “Mister Chin” and “Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt.” Yellowman performed at Reggae Sunsplash during the early 1980s, and one of his festival sets was issued as Live at Reggae Sunsplash. He later toured internationally and returned to performing after treatment for cancer, continuing to appear at clubs and reggae festivals backed by Sagittarius Band.
Queen Ifrica is a Jamaican reggae and dancehall singer from Montego Bay and the daughter of ska singer Derrick Morgan. Her songs often address social issues, Rastafari and relationships; she is known for “Daddy,” “Below the Waist” and “Lioness on the Rise,” as well as the albums Montego Bay and Climb. Queen Ifrica has performed at Rebel Salute and Reggae Sumfest, placing her among the established voices on Jamaica’s major reggae stages. Her international festival appearances have also included Rototom Sunsplash in Benicàssim.
