Yeni Türkü in Trabzon

Yeni Türkü is a Turkish band formed in Ankara in 1977. The group plays folk-rooted rock and pop, led for much of its history by singer and guitarist Derya Köroğlu. Its best-known repertoire includes “Telli Telli,” “Olmasa Mektubun,” “Fırtına” and “Bana Bir Masal Anlat Baba,” as well as the albums Buğdayın Türküsü and Akdeniz Akdeniz. In 2017, Yeni Türkü celebrated its 40th anniversary with a concert at Zorlu Performing Arts Center in Istanbul. Five years later, the band marked its 45th anniversary at Harbiye Cemil Topuzlu Open-Air Theatre.
