Yo Hitoto in Miyakonojō

Yo Hitoto is a Japanese singer-songwriter, born in Tokyo in 1976, who performs pop shaped by kayōkyoku ballad writing. She made her recording debut with “Morai Naki” in 2002, while “Hanamizuki” became her signature song; her early albums include Tsukitenshin and Hitotoiro. Her concert history includes the 2004 Teto Shan tour and Yo&U Tour ’06, both built around her own repertoire and live band performances. She has also sung on NHK’s annual Kōhaku Uta Gassen, where “Hanamizuki” formed part of her performance history.
