Yves Lambert in Kingsey Falls

Yves Lambert is a Canadian singer, accordionist and multi-instrumentalist from Sainte-Mélanie, Quebec, who performs traditional Québécois folk music. He co-founded La Bottine Souriante in 1976 and became closely associated with the group’s songs and dance tunes, including “La ziguezon” and material from the album La Mistrine. His later work includes the Bébert Orchestra and the Yves Lambert Trio. Between 1976 and 2002, he toured through Canada, the United States and Europe as a member of La Bottine Souriante, playing concert halls, dances and folk festivals. After leaving the group, he returned to the road with the larger Bébert Orchestra before adopting the more compact trio format. Those ensembles kept Yves Lambert’s voice, accordion and Québécois repertoire at the center of his performances.
