Zachary Richard in Québec

Zachary Richard is an American singer-songwriter, accordionist and poet, born in 1950 in Scott, Louisiana. He writes and performs Cajun-rooted folk and rock in French and English, and is known for recordings including “Réveille,” “Travailler c’est trop dur” and the album Cap Enragé. Zachary Richard has spent decades touring francophone Canada, particularly Quebec, while returning to stages in his native Louisiana. He performs as a singer and accordionist, drawing on his French- and English-language repertoire. His festival appearances have included Festival International de Louisiane in Lafayette and Les Francos de Montréal.
