Zakopower in Krakow

Zakopower is a Polish folk-rock band formed in 2005 and led by singer and violinist Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka. Its music draws on the highlander traditions of the Podhale region, set within rock and pop arrangements. The band became known through albums including Music Hal, Na siedem and Boso, whose title song became a signature recording. In 2007, Zakopower performed at the Live Earth concert in Hamburg. Two years later, the band released Koncertowo, a live album and concert film documenting its stage repertoire. Zakopower performs as a full band, using violins and highlander vocal parts alongside guitar, bass, keyboards and drums. Vocals and violin remain at the centre of the show under Sebastian Karpiel-Bułecka.
