Zeds Dead in Vancouver

Zeds Dead is a Canadian electronic duo formed in Toronto in 2009 by Dylan Mamid, known as DC, and Zachary Rapp-Rovan, known as Hooks. They play dubstep and bass music that also draws on drum and bass and electro. Their best-known work includes the remix of Blue Foundation’s “Eyes on Fire,” the track “Collapse” and the debut album Northern Lights. Zeds Dead performed at Coachella in 2012 and launched Dead Rocks at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in 2014. The Colorado event developed into a recurring multi-night gathering, while the 2016 Northern Lights Tour took the duo’s debut album to venues across North America. The duo also mounted the First Contact event at Hampton Coliseum in Hampton, Virginia, and has played the nightclub Echostage in Washington, D.C.

Deathpact is an anonymous electronic music project that emerged in 2018, making dark midtempo bass and dubstep while keeping the identities behind it undisclosed. The project is known for “Danger,” the Cipher One EP and “Life & Death,” a collaboration with Rezz. Deathpact made its live debut at Shambhala Music Festival in 2019. The project later mounted MIDHEAVEN in 2022, presenting four concerts simultaneously in different North American cities and making its collective identity part of MIDHEAVEN itself.
